You’re tired. You’re anxious. You’re insecure. You’re doubtful. You’re probably thinking and feeling all the negative stuff. So I’m writing this for you. It’s a short reminder of God’s steadfast love for you. It’s going to be all right, and this is the truth—that He who began a good work in you will carry it out until the day of Jesus Christ.
Man of God, I am here to challenge you. I challenge you to hang in there even though it’s going to be hard. You already started! Why give up now? Your Christian life is a race, it’s a marathon. Don’t forget who you’re running for. You’re running the race for God, and you will obey what He says in His word.
In 1 Timothy, Paul said, “O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness… fight the good faith of faith.” Paul is teaching us that sometimes the way to victory is fleeing. You should know when to fight and when to flee. Stop fighting the sin, flee from it. Stay awake and be aware of God’s holy presence. You might be busy and lost with everything that has been going on in your life. You might be busy and lost with everything that has been going on in your life. You might even be questioning your purpose, or worse, His presence. Pursue faith, man of God. Trust your Heavenly Father in all the little frustrations He sends your way. It is in your daily circumstances that He tests you the most. Besides, you can cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you.
I’m writing this to you because I’m reminding you that God won’t allow any struggle or trial too hard that will utterly destroy you. We may be afflicted in any way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.
Be like Jesus. Isn’t that we were called for? Jesus was questioned, persecuted, judged, laughed at, and tried. He prayed to God the Father, “If you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet not my will, but Yours be done.” He knows what you’re going through. You may be suffering right now, but it was given to you so that God’s glory and light will shine through you. Isn’t that amazing—an all knowing and powerful God choosing you to be used for His glory?
Delight in your weaknesses and know that God will strengthen and sustain you. Remember that this phase is all just part of the big and beautiful picture. Fight the good fight of faith.
All the love,
